About the Academy

The National Academy of Public Administration is the central institution of the system of professional development in public administration of the Republic of Serbia, with the status of officially recognised organiser of informal adult educational activities. It was founded in accordance with the Law on the National Academy of Public Administration (″Official Gazette of the RS“, No 94/2017 as of 19th October 2017) and it started working in January 2018.

Programs

The National Academy of Public Administration is developing the methodology and instruments that enable continuous and flexible referral and adjustment of training programs in accordance with the needs of state authorities and conducts the procedure in determining the needs for the programs that it prepares and implements.

Projects and cooperation

The National Academy of Public Administration is cooperating with various international donors, organizations and institutions through projects and memorandums of cooperation in the field of professional development of employees in public administration.

The new system of professional development shall have its base in the competencies that the civil servants shall be required to have in order to be ble to perform their activities in a modern and efficent way. The biggest change the Academy will bring is the education of the public servants on the national and local level, but also the mandatory education of high officials.

We expect a lot from the National Academy, which has been established by looking up to the similar European institutions, as a modern, functional and central institution of the system of professional development in public administration of the Republic of Serbia, in the field of improving and capacity building of employees working in public administration, especially on the local level.
